Dr. Andrew Trites is Director of the Marine Mammal Research Unit in the Fisheries Centre at the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Marine Mammal Specialist Group for the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC).

Michael deRoos is an articulator of marine mammal skeletons. Mike has articulated nine marine mammal skeletons, including a 60' fin whale on display at the Johnstone Strait Killer Whale Interpretive Center, and a killer whale, minke whale and Steller sea lion on display in the Aquatic Ecosystems Research Laboratory (AERL).
