Dr. Biruté Mary Galdikas is an internationally acclaimed Canadian primatologist. She established Camp Leaky in Borneo, a research station for the study of orangutans, after being recruited by Louis Leaky in 1971. She is the world’s leading figure in orangutan biology and conservation.
