There are always things going on in the Museum. Construction is wrapping up, but you can watch the progress of the building through photos and view architectural renderings of the structure on the construction page.

You can also see the incredible journey of the blue whale from PEI to BC in our Blue Whale Project.

The scientists in the Biodiversity Research Centre travel the globe studying issues surrounding biodiversity. In the first of our Field Notes series, we present a recent expedition of our Museum Director, Dr. Wayne Maddison, as he journeys to Papua New Guinea to find unrecorded species of spiders. See the results of his trip and learn about Spiders from Papua New Guinea. And closer to home, follow Ildiko Szabo as she shows us the process of Working with Birds in the museum.
