There are always things going on in the Museum. Our future home in the Beaty Biodiversity Centre is currently under construction. You can watch
the progress of the building through photos and view architectural renderings of the completed structure on the construction page.
We are also in the process of acquiring a complete skeleton of a blue whale which will hang in the West atrium of the new building. Keep track of
new developments as the skeleton is moved from Prince Edward Island and learn more about whales as part of our Blue Whale Project.
The scientists in the Biodiversity Research Centre travel the globe studying issues surrounding biodiversity. In the first of our Field Notes series, we present a recent expedition of our Museum Director, Dr. Wayne Maddison, as he journeys to Papua New Guinea to find unrecorded species of spiders. See the results of his trip and learn about Spiders from Papua New Guinea.
