Support Breakthroughs in Biodiversity Research & Education

Your support can help UBC scientists answer important questions about biodiversity such as how climate change is impacting species
and ecosystems. You can help complete the new home for the Biodiversity Research Centre which will provide world renowned researchers
and their students with the best possible equipment, laboratories and teaching spaces. Your donation can also help establish student scholarships
and research fellowships to ensure that graduate students committed to this exciting area of science can carry out ground-breaking research.

Ways to Help:
There are many ways to make a gift. You may choose to make a one-time gift or a pledge payable over several years.
To help make the Research Centre a reality, you might consider:
| • | a cash gift (cash or cheque)
|
| • | publicly traded securities (shares, bonds, mutual funds)
|
| • | gifts-in-kind (physical assets such as real estate, equipment, natural history specimens)
|
| • | a planned gift (will, life insurance policy, charitable remainder trusts, RRSP and RRIF funds)
|
Tax benefits vary depending on the type of gift. For example, if you transfer publicly traded shares to UBC, you could avoid capital gains tax.
International support: We can accept donations from international donors. UBC has established three international charitable foundations for donors living in the U.S., the U.K., and Hong Kong.
